Hamas is Stealing the Humanitarian Aid that Israel is Providing to the Gazans
Four pounds of food a day.
That's how much the average person eats.
And that's how much food has been entering Gaza to feed its population.
According to Israel, on March 16, 2024, for example, 8 million pounds of food entered Gaza by land. That's four pounds per Gazan.
Of course, that assumes that the food can get to them before it is stolen by Hamas.
On March 14, 2024, COGAT — the Israeli agency that assists with humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza — noted that since the beginning of March, “an average of 126 food trucks entered Gaza daily.
This is 80% more food trucks entering compared to before Oct. 7.
Before Oct. 7, 500 trucks entered Gaza daily carrying building, agriculture, and industrial supplies; only an average of 70 carried food."
Having failed in previous attempts to smear Israel in the courts as engaging in genocide, Hamas and its supporters have now latched on to the story about the "famine" threatening Gazans. These stories are accompanied by pictures of women and children clutching empty pots, all designed to demonize Israel as inhuman and inhumane.
In reality, Israel has taken and continues to take extraordinary steps to safeguard the civilian population on a scale that no other army in the world has ever done.
